Yantian port is running a high speed!



50,000 teu per day cargo handling capacity, only 2 hours for loading the container.

Let me share with you the Yantian port which is the fourth busiest port in the world after Shanghai, Singapore and Ningbo port.

Yantian International container Terminal (YICT): It is an important gateway for China's import and export trade. With its natural deep-water berth and ultra-large vessel service capability, YICT has become the preferred port of ultra-large vessels in Southern of China.

Yantian port is located in the East of the Pearl River Estuary, west of DaYaWan Bay, and facing kowloon Peninsula across of the sea.

From 2021, Yantian port total increase international service over 20 rotues, the density of sea lines service will be increased further in July.

Since June 24, the port resume to operate completely, the handing capacity was keeping grow. Only in date of July 24, the container handling capacity had been reached 47,400 teu/day, it is 129.6% of the average daily handling capacity of 2020. On behind of the high improvement, it is inseparable from the continuous optimization of the business environment of Yantian port.

In the 5th July,2021, A vessel of 88.62 tons of lithium ion battery electrolyte in drums has arrived at YICT, it tooks only two hours to unload all the container from the gate to the vessel. "Faster!" said from Mr Chen, Logistics manager of Shenzhen Capchem Technology Co.Itd, the whole procedure would be taken at least two or three days in the past.

It is understood that the current YICT area import and export links need to check regulatory documents, reduce from 86 to 41, and realized online processing of 16 kinds of export certificates of origin. In terms of customs clearance mode, it can be provided multiple “declaration menus” such as “advance declaration”, “two-step declaration” and “centralized declaration”, all could be selected by Customer. For the fresh food, emergency materials and other goods that required fast time for customs clearance, the implementation of “direct lift of the shipside” and “direct loading upon cargo arrival”, it has reduced the declaration time by more than 50%.  

Not only it takes faster to declare the goods, but it also takes less time for the trucks to enter the gate.

At the past, It used to take about 14 hours for the truck from the highway and get into the terminal during the CNY holiday, but now it only takes 30 minutes. After the outbreak of epidemic on May 21, 2021,with the promotion of multiple departments in Yantian District, the “Reservation Entry System” was implemented in Yantian port, which gradually became long-term solution, and solved the chronic congestion around the port area for many years.

Yantian port is one of the busiest container ports in the world, and also one of the container terminals with the largest single cargo handling capacity in the world. It is responsible for more than 1/3 of the foreign trade of the Guangdong Province,A quarter of the country’s trade to the USA,  Yantian port is divided into middle port area, West port area and East port area. At present, it had been completed the first, second and third container yard and extension project, more than 20 containers berths had been put into operation, which can berth the world’s largest container ships of more than 200,000 tons.

According to introduction, By the end of June of 2021,  YICT has added more than 20 international routes, and another 3 routes will be added in July, the density of international routes will be upgraded again. There are more than 100 routes around the world every week, combine with the feeder service, sea-rail service, Yantian port is providing customers with more flexible transportation options.
