Seven shipping agents met our current public-evidence requirements for China-to-Nigeria services: Aquantuo, Cargo From China, CargoNaija, GIG Logistics, SARA Procurement & Logistics, SINO Shipping, and Winsail Logistics.
There is no single best company for every Lagos importer. The right choice depends on where your suppliers are located, whether you need consolidation, whether the quotation is for port delivery or final delivery, and which party will manage import clearance in Nigeria.
Before paying, confirm the China warehouse, actual Lagos gateway, named destination agent, customs responsibility, destination charges, bill-of-lading parties, and final-delivery scope in writing.
For a detailed explanation of transport modes, costs, transit considerations, and import procedures, see shipping from China to Nigeria.
Need a comparable quotation? Send the same cargo information to several providers and require each company to identify its China receiving point, Lagos handover process, local clearing party, excluded charges, and final-delivery responsibility.
Quick Answer for Nigeria Importers
The seven companies in this comparison met the same minimum public-evidence standard, but they serve different buyer types. Nigeria-focused groupage providers may be convenient for small shipments and Lagos warehouse collection, while China-based commercial forwarders may be better suited to multi-supplier consolidation, LCL, FCL, or customized air freight.
Do not choose a company only because its quotation shows a low price per kilogram or CBM. First establish what the price includes, the actual Lagos port or airport facility, who manages customs clearance, which company collects destination charges, and whether the service ends at a Lagos warehouse or at the final delivery address.
“Top 7” describes the number of companies evaluated in detail. It is not an absolute ranking from best to worst.
How We Verified China-to-Nigeria Shipping Agents
This comparison began with a wider candidate pool found through searches for freight forwarders, shipping agents, logistics companies, consolidation providers, and door-to-door services between China and Nigeria.
A company was retained only when its current official website provided enough evidence to establish:
- A recognizable company or brand identity;
- China-side pickup, warehousing, consolidation, office, or export-forwarding capability;
- Nigeria, Lagos, local-delivery, or China-to-Nigeria route evidence;
- At least two relevant logistics services;
- An official contact page, office address, domain email, telephone number, or website-linked WhatsApp channel;
- Sufficient information to compare it with other providers using the same criteria.
Directory entries, social-media profiles, marketplace listings, and third-party “top company” articles were not treated as sufficient evidence on their own.
The word verified in this article means that the stated service evidence was found on accessible public pages as of July 30, 2026. It does not mean that Winsail has audited the company’s finances, insurance, operational performance, cargo claims history, bank account, licenses, or local subcontractors.
The Council for the Regulation of Freight Forwarding in Nigeria states that it regulates and controls freight-forwarding practice in Nigeria. The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority also publishes registration requirements for air-freight forwarders. Buyers should therefore request the name and regulatory details of the actual Nigeria-based party handling clearance or air cargo rather than assuming that a route page proves local licensing.
We did not use star ratings, paid reviews, customer-count claims, unverifiable prices, or a composite scoring system. The seven companies are presented according to buyer fit and publicly visible capabilities, not as an absolute performance ranking.
What a Complete China–Nigeria Service Must Cover
A quotation described as “shipping from China to Lagos” may cover only part of the physical and legal journey. A complete proposal should identify the responsible party at every major stage.

The typical responsibility chain is:
- Supplier pickup or delivery to a China warehouse;
- Warehouse receiving and cargo measurement;
- Inspection, repacking, labeling, or consolidation;
- China export documentation and customs declaration;
- Main carriage by sea or air;
- Arrival at a named Lagos port, terminal, or airport cargo facility;
- Arrival notice and destination-agent handover;
- Nigeria import declaration and customs processing;
- Port, terminal, airline, or container release;
- LCL deconsolidation or cargo transfer;
- Lagos warehouse collection or truck delivery;
- Final delivery to the agreed city and address.
China Warehouse–Lagos–Inland Responsibility Map
| Shipment stage | Party that must be identified | Evidence or document to request | Charges to confirm |
|---|---|---|---|
| Supplier pickup | Supplier, China forwarder, or domestic trucker | Pickup order and supplier contact | Pickup, waiting, loading |
| China warehouse receiving | Warehouse operator | Official address, receiving code, warehouse receipt | Receiving, storage, measurement |
| Consolidation | China forwarder | Consolidation list and cargo photos | Repacking, pallets, labeling |
| Export handling | Exporter or forwarder | Export declaration responsibility | Documentation and customs fees |
| Main carriage | Carrier, airline, NVOCC, or forwarder | Booking confirmation and draft B/L or AWB | Freight and surcharges |
| Lagos arrival | Carrier and destination agent | Arrival notice and terminal name | Documentation and local handling |
| Import clearance | Importer and licensed local representative | Declaration and clearance-party details | Duty, tax, examination |
| Port release | Clearing party and terminal | Customs and terminal release status | Storage, demurrage, terminal fees |
| Lagos warehouse | Deconsolidator or local logistics company | Warehouse address and release instruction | Deconsolidation and collection |
| Inland delivery | Haulier or delivery company | Delivery address and proof-of-delivery process | Haulage, offloading, waiting |
Do not accept “all inclusive” as a complete definition. Ask the provider to list included and excluded items line by line.
This is particularly important for DDP. Under the International Chamber of Commerce’s Incoterms framework, DDP places export, transit, and import-clearance obligations on the seller, while the buyer normally takes delivery at the agreed destination and is responsible for unloading. In practice, a seller or forwarder may encounter legal and administrative limits when completing import formalities in another country.
A commercial quotation described as DDP should therefore state:
- The named place of destination;
- The importer or declarant used for the shipment;
- Whether duty and tax are included;
- Whether customs examination is included;
- Whether storage caused by a document problem is included;
- Whether delivery covers Lagos only or another Nigerian state;
- Whether unloading is included;
- Which events trigger additional charges.
For more detail, review DDP shipping from China to Nigeria before comparing door-to-door offers.
Verified Company Comparison
The following table summarizes public evidence found during our July 2026 review. “Best for” describes a practical buyer scenario suggested by the company’s published service mix. It is not a quality award.

Company Profiles
CargoNaija — Best for Nigeria-Focused Groupage and Local Collection Options
CargoNaija may suit importers who prefer a provider whose public content is strongly focused on Nigeria rather than a general worldwide freight network.
Its official website publishes a China-to-Nigeria service page and identifies a China office in Guangzhou. Related pages describe air cargo, sea freight, 20-foot and 40-foot container services, customs clearing, and delivery to destinations in Nigeria. The company also publishes several Nigerian office or contact locations.
This combination may appeal to smaller importers, groupage users, and buyers who want to communicate with a Nigeria-facing team.
The main limitation is that office and collection networks can change. The website has shown different addresses and statuses across pages over time. Before sending goods, obtain the current China receiving address, cargo code, Lagos release point, official payment beneficiary, destination-agent name, and complete charge schedule through the company’s domain email.
SARA Procurement & Logistics — Best for Guangzhou Consolidation and Lagos Warehouse Pickup
SARA Procurement & Logistics is a practical candidate for buyers sourcing from several factories or wholesalers around Guangzhou.
Its website states that China shipments are handled through its Guangzhou base. It also publishes a Lagos operations hub and describes active warehousing in Guangzhou and Lagos for cargo receiving, temporary storage, consolidation, inspection, sorting, and delivery coordination. Its wider services include sourcing, supplier verification, air cargo, sea cargo, warehousing, procurement, and haulage.
This service mix may be useful for small and medium-sized importers who need to combine orders before shipment or collect cleared cargo from a Lagos facility.
Buyers moving commercial LCL or full containers should go beyond the standard groupage rate page. Ask who issues the transport document, whether cargo insurance is included, how port examination is charged, which Nigeria entity handles clearance, and whether the quotation ends at the Lagos warehouse or includes delivery to the buyer’s premises.
GIG Logistics — Best for Nigeria Last-Mile Reach and E-Commerce Distribution
GIG Logistics has one of the clearest public combinations of a Guangzhou receiving point and a broad Nigeria-side delivery network.
Its China-to-Nigeria page describes air freight, sea freight, order consolidation, a Guangzhou experience centre, use of a China warehouse address, shipment tracking, and doorstep delivery. The same page lists official Nigeria contact information and identifies a Lagos facility. GIGL also publishes separate last-mile and import services for customers using its Nigeria network.
This makes GIGL particularly relevant to e-commerce buyers, parcel importers, small-volume traders, and companies that value app-based shipment management and local distribution.
Importers should still check whether the selected service is a parcel/groupage product or a customized commercial-freight movement. For machinery, regulated products, high-value goods, full containers, or cargo requiring a formal commercial-import process, request written confirmation of the consignee, customs party, insurance, cargo restrictions, and treatment of examination or storage charges.
Aquantuo — Best for Cross-Border Shopping, Warehousing and Door Delivery
Aquantuo combines China-side cross-border shopping support with a published physical presence in Lagos.
Its China service page describes supplier payments, order consolidation, customs-clearance support, air freight, sea freight, and delivery. Its Nigeria page publishes a Lagos office address and telephone numbers, while other official pages describe warehousing, fulfillment, customs brokerage, and local delivery.
This may suit importers purchasing from Chinese online stores, businesses combining multiple orders, and customers that want warehousing or delivery support in Nigeria.
However, customs-clearance treatment can vary by destination and mode. A buyer should not assume that every quoted service includes duties, taxes, customs examination, and delivery. Ask for the legal importer, clearance party, named delivery destination, cargo exclusions, and the events that may create additional charges.
Cargo From China — Best for Multi-Supplier Consolidation and Commercial Freight
Cargo From China, also known as CFC, is positioned as a China-based freight forwarder and third-party logistics provider.
Its official content describes vendor pickup, warehousing, consolidation, FCL, LCL, air freight, port-to-port, port-to-door, and door-to-door arrangements. Its Nigeria route page covers sea and air freight and publishes claims concerning delivery to Lagos and other Nigerian locations.
CFC may therefore be considered by commercial importers coordinating several Chinese suppliers or deciding between LCL and FCL.
The key limitation is visibility at destination. The reviewed pages do not clearly identify a Nigeria office or the legal company that would act as destination agent or clearing representative. Before booking, ask for the Lagos agent’s full legal name, office address, official telephone number, invoice issuer, B/L release process, and destination-charge schedule. Treat route-page statements about nationwide delivery or customs responsibility as matters to include in the signed quotation rather than assumptions.
SINO Shipping — Best for China-Side Freight Planning and Multimodal Quotes
SINO Shipping publishes extensive China-origin freight content and a dedicated China-to-Nigeria route page.
The Nigeria page covers FCL, LCL, air freight, express shipping, door-to-door arrangements, Chinese origin ports, customs documentation, and Lagos destinations. The company also publishes China city-specific freight-forwarding pages describing services such as air freight, sea freight, packing, warehousing, and customs coordination.
This may make SINO useful for importers seeking a China-based team to compare several modes or coordinate cargo from different manufacturing regions.
The main question is Nigeria-side execution. The reviewed public route page does not clearly identify a Nigerian office or named customs partner. Ask for the destination agent, clearance party, local payment recipient, bill-of-lading issuer, port of discharge, and final-delivery subcontractor before accepting a door-to-door proposal.
Any online rate table should be treated as indicative only. Live freight, carrier, terminal, and customs-related charges must be reconfirmed for the actual cargo and booking date.
Winsail Logistics — Best for China Consolidation and Coordinated Door-to-Door Requests
Winsail Logistics is a China-based forwarder with public evidence for warehousing, supplier consolidation, FCL, LCL, air freight, and door-to-door coordination.
The website publishes a Guangzhou office and China warehouse contact information, together with Nigeria route content covering sea freight, air freight, consolidation, and delivery requests.
Winsail may be considered by commercial importers that need cargo collected from several Chinese suppliers, checked at an origin warehouse, and moved under a customized freight plan.
Because Winsail publishes this comparison, it must not receive preferred treatment. The reviewed public pages did not establish a named Winsail-owned Lagos office, Nigerian importer entity, or identified licensed clearing partner. Some existing Nigeria content also contains broad DDP statements and historical rate references. Those statements should not replace a current written quotation.
Before booking, request the proposed Lagos agent, importer structure, clearance responsibility, destination charges, delivery zone, and exceptions for storage, customs examination, or regulatory delays.
Lagos Port and Local-Agent Handover
One of the most important questions in a China-to-Nigeria quotation is not simply, “Does the shipment arrive in Lagos?”
The more useful question is:
At which port or terminal will the cargo arrive, and which legal entity takes responsibility after arrival?
Apapa, Tin Can Island, or Lekki?
The Nigerian Ports Authority identifies Lagos Port Complex, also called Apapa Quays, as a port complex situated in Apapa. It separately identifies Tin Can Island Port Complex as another major Lagos port facility. Lekki Deep Sea Port is located in the Lagos Free Zone in Ibeju-Lekki.
These locations are not interchangeable from an operational perspective. The selected port can affect:
- Carrier routing;
- Terminal operator;
- Arrival-notice issuer;
- Trucking distance;
- Container return;
- Warehouse location;
- Port and terminal charges;
- Delivery planning.
Do not rely on a quotation that states only “Lagos” when the actual gateway is already known. Ask for the port of discharge and terminal, or require the forwarder to update the quotation after carrier booking.
Lagos Gateway and Handover Questions
| Gateway | Official identity | Questions for the forwarder |
|---|---|---|
| Lagos Port Complex | Port complex in Apapa | Which terminal, carrier, agent, and container-return location apply? |
| Tin Can Island Port Complex | Separate NPA port complex in Lagos | Who issues the arrival notice and delivery order? |
| Lekki Deep Sea Port | Deep-sea port in the Lagos Free Zone | Is Lekki confirmed on the booking or only offered as a possible route? |
| Murtala Muhammed International Airport | Main Lagos international airport area | Which airline, cargo terminal, AWB agent, and clearance party apply? |
Identify the Destination Agent Before Departure
For sea freight, the China forwarder may issue a house bill of lading while another party acts as the carrier, NVOCC agent, deconsolidator, or delivery-order issuer in Lagos.
Before the shipment departs, request:
- Destination agent’s full legal name;
- Official address and telephone number;
- Domain email where available;
- Role in the shipment;
- Charges collected locally;
- Whether the agent performs clearance or only document release;
- Name of any separate customs broker;
- Lagos cargo-release location;
- Complaint and escalation channel.
For LCL, also confirm where deconsolidation occurs and when storage starts. A shipment may have cleared customs but still be awaiting deconsolidation, warehouse release, or payment of another local charge.
Confirm the Importer, Consignee and Clearing Party
The terms “importer,” “consignee,” “notify party,” “clearing agent,” and “delivery recipient” should not be used as though they mean the same thing.
The consignee shown on the bill of lading may have document and release obligations. The clearing representative handles customs formalities on behalf of the relevant importer or declarant. The delivery recipient may simply receive the cargo after clearance.
Nigeria Customs Service provides official import information and operates the B’Odogwu Nigeria Trade Portal for trade transactions. Product classification, valuation, permits, import documentation, and current customs procedures should be checked through official channels and a qualified Nigerian professional.
For a fuller operational overview, refer to customs clearance in Nigeria.
Separate Destination Charges from Inland Delivery
Request a written destination-charge table covering, where applicable:
- Arrival notice;
- Documentation;
- Delivery order;
- Terminal handling;
- Port or airline handling;
- Customs examination;
- Storage;
- Demurrage;
- Container deposit;
- Deconsolidation;
- Warehouse release;
- Haulage;
- Waiting time;
- Offloading;
- Empty-container return.
If a dispute arises over port services, the Nigerian Shippers’ Council operates the Port Service Support Portal, which allows stakeholders to submit and track complaints, enquiries, and port-service requests.
LCL, Groupage and Door-to-Door Options
LCL and groupage services are popular among Nigeria importers because they allow cargo from one or several suppliers to move without filling an entire container.
However, a per-CBM quotation is not complete unless it explains how the CBM is calculated and where the quoted responsibility ends.
What a Per-CBM Quote Should State
Ask the provider to confirm:
- Supplier pickup or supplier delivery;
- China warehouse receiving fee;
- Storage-free period;
- Actual CBM and chargeable CBM;
- Minimum billable volume;
- Repacking or pallet charges;
- Export documentation;
- Ocean freight;
- Destination handling;
- Customs clearance;
- Duty and tax;
- Customs examination;
- Lagos warehouse release;
- Final delivery;
- Cargo insurance;
- Surcharges for sensitive or restricted goods.
The final warehouse measurement may differ from a supplier’s estimate. Require warehouse dimensions, cargo photos, and a revised chargeable volume before the shipment is loaded.
Consolidation and Deconsolidation Responsibilities
For multi-supplier orders, give each supplier a unique receiving code. Require the China warehouse to issue a receiving record showing supplier name, carton count, visible condition, weight, and dimensions.
Before consolidation, reconcile the warehouse record with the commercial invoices and packing lists.
At destination, ask:
- Who operates the deconsolidation warehouse?
- When does storage begin?
- Which document releases the cargo?
- Can a third-party clearing agent collect it?
- Is delivery available outside Lagos?
- Who is responsible for shortage or visible damage at release?
Lagos Pickup Is Not Door Delivery
“Lagos warehouse pickup” means the importer or its representative collects the cargo at a named facility.
“Door delivery” should identify a final address or at least a defined city and service zone.
A quotation ending at an Ajao Estate, Apapa, Ikeja, or another Lagos warehouse is not the same as delivery to a buyer’s shop in Abuja, Kano, Ibadan, Benin City, Port Harcourt, or another state.
DDP Boundaries Must Be Written
Do not rely on “DDP” as a substitute for a scope of work.
Ask the provider to state:
- Who acts as importer;
- Who pays assessed duties and taxes;
- Whether regulatory permits are included;
- Whether customs examination is included;
- Whether unexpected storage is included;
- Whether final delivery includes unloading;
- What happens if the cargo description is inaccurate;
- What happens if the importer lacks a required permit.
How to Verify WhatsApp, Payment and Bill-of-Lading Details
WhatsApp is widely used for freight communication, but it should not be the only method used to verify a shipping company, warehouse address, or bank-account change.

Match WhatsApp to the Official Website
Start from the company’s current official domain.
Use the WhatsApp link or telephone number displayed on that domain. Then send a second confirmation request through the company-domain email or contact form.
Ask the representative to confirm:
- Full company name;
- Office or warehouse address;
- Quotation number;
- Name and role of the salesperson;
- Official payment beneficiary;
- Shipment reference;
- Nigeria destination agent.
A profile picture, company logo, group-chat name, or forwarded contact card is not sufficient evidence.
Verify Account Changes Through a Second Channel
A last-minute bank-account change is a serious warning sign.
Do not reply only to the message announcing the change. Contact the company through a previously verified number and send a separate message to its official domain email.
Check whether the following names are consistent:
- Company shown on the quotation;
- Company shown on the invoice;
- Contracting party;
- Bank beneficiary;
- Bill-of-lading issuer;
- Nigeria agent collecting local charges.
A difference does not automatically mean fraud because logistics groups may use related companies or agents. However, the relationship and payment purpose should be documented before money is transferred.
Review the Draft Bill of Lading
For sea freight, check the draft bill of lading before departure.
Important fields include:
- Shipper;
- Consignee;
- Notify party;
- Carrier or NVOCC;
- HBL issuer;
- MBL reference where available;
- Port of loading;
- Port of discharge;
- Place of delivery;
- Number and type of packages;
- Gross weight;
- Cargo description;
- Freight prepaid or collect status;
- Destination agent.
For air freight, perform a similar review of the air waybill and identify the airline, issuing agent, destination cargo agent, airport, and consignee.
The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority publishes registration requirements for air-freight forwarders and renewal requirements for cargo agents. The existence of an AWB number or WhatsApp conversation alone does not prove that a local party has completed the appropriate registration.
WhatsApp, Payment and Transport-Document Checklist
| Claim or change | Verification method | Red flag |
|---|---|---|
| New WhatsApp number | Confirm through website and domain email | Number exists only on social media |
| New China warehouse | Confirm with official representative and written receiving instructions | Supplier is told to use a private residence without explanation |
| New bank account | Call an existing official number and verify by domain email | Urgent pressure to pay an unrelated personal account |
| New Lagos agent | Request legal name, office, role, and charge schedule | Agent cannot explain the B/L or release process |
| Revised consignee | Request revised draft B/L and written reason | Change requested after sailing without documentation |
| “All-inclusive” fee | Request an itemized scope and exclusions | No answer on duties, examination, storage, or delivery |
Best Options by Cargo and Buyer Type
The following shortlist is based on published service characteristics, not tested service quality.

Small Groupage Shipments and First-Time Importers
CargoNaija, SARA, GIG Logistics, and Aquantuo may be worth comparing where the shipment consists of several cartons, online purchases, or cargo that will be collected from a Lagos warehouse.
The buyer should focus on minimum chargeable weight or CBM, prohibited items, receiving codes, consolidation schedules, customs treatment, and collection location.
Multi-Supplier Orders from Guangzhou or Shenzhen
SARA, Cargo From China, Aquantuo, GIG Logistics, and Winsail publish China-side consolidation or warehouse-related capabilities.
Compare:
- Supplier pickup coverage;
- Warehouse location;
- Free-storage period;
- Inspection options;
- Repacking;
- Export documentation;
- Consolidation report;
- Cargo photos;
- Final chargeable CBM.
Commercial LCL and FCL Cargo
Cargo From China, SINO Shipping, Winsail, CargoNaija, and SARA may be considered for larger commercial shipments.
For FCL, request the carrier, container type, port of loading, port of discharge, free-time terms, destination charges, and container-return responsibility.
For LCL, prioritize the deconsolidation warehouse, minimum CBM, HBL issuer, destination agent, and local release charges.
For additional mode-specific planning, review sea freight from China to Nigeria.
Urgent Air Freight and High-Value Cargo
GIG Logistics, Aquantuo, SARA, CargoNaija, SINO, CFC, and Winsail all publish air-related services, but their products may target different shipment sizes.
Ask whether the quote is:
- Express courier;
- Consolidated air cargo;
- Airport-to-airport freight;
- Airport-to-door;
- Customs-cleared groupage;
- Formal commercial air freight.
For high-value goods, request cargo insurance terms, airline or consolidator information, security-screening requirements, claim procedures, and proof of delivery.
See air freight from China to Nigeria for a broader explanation of air-cargo planning.
E-Commerce Fulfilment and Nigeria-Wide Delivery
GIG Logistics and Aquantuo publish particularly visible last-mile, e-commerce, warehousing, or fulfillment services in Nigeria.
This may be relevant to importers that need individual orders distributed after arrival rather than one bulk delivery.
Request a separate fulfillment proposal covering storage, inventory receiving, pick-and-pack, failed delivery, returns, proof of delivery, and serviceable postcodes.
Importers with Their Own Clearing Agent
A buyer with an established Nigerian clearing representative may prefer to purchase China pickup, export handling, and port-to-port freight separately.
In that situation, compare Cargo From China, SINO Shipping, Winsail, or another China-based forwarder based on origin execution and carrier options.
Before booking, introduce the Nigeria clearing agent to the China forwarder and agree on:
- Consignee and notify-party details;
- B/L release method;
- Port and terminal;
- Document deadline;
- Destination agent;
- Freight prepaid or collect status;
- Required original documents;
- Arrival-notice process.

FAQ
How do I verify a shipping agent from China to Nigeria before paying?
Start from the company’s official website. Confirm the quotation, warehouse, salesperson, WhatsApp number, and payment beneficiary through both the website-listed contact channel and a company-domain email. For Nigeria-side services, request the destination agent’s legal name, address, role, and relevant regulatory details.
Which Lagos port will my shipment use?
The quotation or booking should identify Lagos Port Complex in Apapa, Tin Can Island Port Complex, Lekki Deep Sea Port, or another confirmed facility. “Lagos” alone is not sufficiently precise for final operational planning.
How is LCL or groupage cargo charged per CBM?
The forwarder normally uses the warehouse-measured volume, subject to its minimum chargeable volume and pricing rules. Ask whether supplier pickup, warehouse receiving, consolidation, destination handling, customs clearance, duty, Lagos warehouse release, and final delivery are included.
Does DDP shipping include every possible cost in Nigeria?
DDP places import-clearance obligations on the seller under the ICC definition, but the quotation must still identify the named destination and implementation details. Customs examination, storage caused by incorrect documents, regulatory permits, unusual delivery access, and unloading may require specific treatment.
Which destination charges should I confirm before departure?
Confirm arrival-notice fees, delivery-order fees, terminal or airport handling, deconsolidation, customs examination, storage, demurrage, container deposit, warehouse release, trucking, waiting time, offloading, and empty-container return.
How can I verify a WhatsApp number or bank-account change?
Use the number shown on the official company website and confirm it through a domain email. For a bank change, contact the company using a previously verified channel rather than replying only to the change message.
Whose name should appear on the bill of lading?
The buyer, seller, China forwarder, and Nigerian clearing representative should agree on the shipper, consignee, notify party, B/L issuer, destination agent, and release method before the bill is issued.
What information is needed for comparable freight quotes?
Provide the same product description, supplier locations, carton count, dimensions, weight, CBM, cargo-ready date, value, Incoterm, transport mode, Lagos handover point, final city, clearance preference, and insurance requirement to every provider.
Final Selection Checklist for Lagos Importers
Before confirming a booking, make sure you can answer yes to each question:
- Is the company website active?
- Is the China warehouse confirmed through an official channel?
- Are the warehouse receiving instructions clear?
- Is the actual Lagos gateway identified?
- Is the destination agent named?
- Is the importer or consignee structure understood?
- Is the customs-clearance party identified?
- Are duty, tax, examination, and storage responsibilities written?
- Are destination charges itemized?
- Is the final delivery location stated?
- Does the payment beneficiary match the agreed company structure?
- Have you reviewed the draft B/L or AWB?
- Are cargo insurance and claims procedures documented?
- Are exclusions and additional-charge triggers written?
No public comparison can replace shipment-specific due diligence. A company may be suitable for small groupage cargo but not for a regulated commercial container. Another may have strong China operations but depend on an undisclosed Nigeria partner.
Use this article to create a shortlist, then compare written proposals using the same cargo information and responsibility questions.
Requesting a quote from Winsail: Ask for a shipment-specific proposal that identifies the China warehouse, proposed route, Lagos gateway, local-agent handover, customs responsibility, destination charges, delivery scope, and important exclusions. Winsail should be evaluated using the same evidence and risk checks applied to every company in this comparison.
